I was hired to do a full renovation on a very dated home. Some things I noticed that needed to be changed were the dining room exterior wall and the strange angled walls in the kitchen. The dining room exterior wall came into the dining room 4-5’ which was strange. I know we wanted to put stacking doors in the back yet we were limited with the space we had in the living room. By pushing the dining room wall out to the same plane as the living room allowed us to do a large stacking door spanning the entire area. The kitchen had a strange angled wall that held a few cabinets and a desk but made the foyer into the home long. We partially removed that wall and it opened everything up. Doing this also allowed us to make an open finished on all sides low cabinet bar area.
