This full-home renovation focused on reimagining a dated layout with awkward architectural elements that disrupted flow and functionality. One of the key changes involved extending the dining room’s exterior wall—which originally protruded 4–5 feet into the space—bringing it flush with the adjacent living room wall. This adjustment not only resolved the visual imbalance but also created the necessary space to install expansive stacking doors, seamlessly connecting the indoors with the backyard.
In the kitchen, we removed a sharply angled wall that previously housed a few cabinets and a built-in desk. This wall also made the foyer feel unnecessarily long and narrow. Eliminating it opened up the floor plan significantly, making room for a sleek, low-profile bar cabinet that is finished on all sides and serves as a beautiful, functional centerpiece.
